The Xino Story
Xino began with direct observation of the real difficulties experienced by bedridden patients, older adults, and people who care for them. ErgonoPan is the international product identity of the Xino Ergonomic Bedpan, developed and manufactured by Artin Nik Segal Co. A seemingly simple device such as a bedpan affects positioning, comfort, hygiene and caregiver work during one of the most private moments of care.
The Problem Xino Set Out to Address
Conventional bedpans often have narrow support surfaces, restricted cleaning access and waste-trap points. Xino followed a process of design, prototyping, testing and university study to reduce these problems and make care easier.

To help improve quality of life for bedridden patients and older adults, while making the work of people who care for them easier.

Brand Philosophy
The open circle in the Xino mark expresses our belief that no limitation is completely closed. There can always be a way forward. Even when a solution cannot resolve a problem entirely, it can still make a meaningful difference. The wheelchair motif is not erased; it is transformed into an open, dynamic form. The circle’s tapering line suggests movement, flow and continuing possibility.
A Coincidental Resemblance to Ensō
Years after the mark was created, we became aware of its coincidental resemblance to the Japanese Ensō—an open circle drawn with a tapering line.
We believe that evolution does not mean denying imperfections or limitations; it means respecting the flow of life and continuing the journey. Xino is committed to making that journey easier, to the fullest extent it can.
